2009 Unemployment Insurance Technology Conference
Solicitation of bid applications for the 22nd Annual Unemployment Insurance Technology Connection Conference is now open. States interested in hosting the conference should have the one page Bid Application completed and submitted no later than close of business Friday May 16, 2008. The form can be emailed or faxed to Sean A. Floyd, UIT Subcommittee Liaison, using the information listed in the PDF document below. This is the 21st annual conference covering the latest on UI/IT for the professionals who plan, design, manage and implement automation projects. The conference will be held in Austin, Texas at the Sheraton Austin Hotel. Additional information will be available soon.

September 15-18, 2008 2008 NASWA Annual Conference
Charleston, South Carolina

The National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) is pleased to invite you to the Annual 2008 Conference in Charleston, South Carolina. The annual conference is an invaluable forum to share innovative ideas, policies and best practices that can be applied to your own circumstances and used to improve services in your home states.

The theme for this year's conference is A Bridge to a Global Economy. In addition to the conference, a training session with Sandra Hastings, an affiliate of Greg Newton Associates, on succession planning will be offered. The training, entitled Human Resources in the Workforce Development System: Preparing for the Future will be offered on Monday, September 15, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the Pickney Room at the Francis Marion Hotel. The training is offered for an additional fee of $300.
