This three-part webinar series, designed for Senior Leaders, Policy Makers and Managers continues on Thursday, June 20, 2024 (2:00 - 2:45 p.m. ET) with the third and final session, Building a Data-Driven Culture: From Investment to Improvement.
During this three-part webinar series, leaders will come away with an enhanced understanding of:
- How to ask for data and data-based information
- Ways to communicate and apply data-based information
- How to develop and sustain a culture founded on data-based information
OVERVIEW
In this webinar, participants will learn how to develop and sustain a culture founded on data-based information.
Presenters Cynthia Forland, Ph.D. and Scott Wheeler will discuss the benefits of investing in sustainable data-based information such as providing necessary staffing, resources and training. Participants will learn the value and necessity of data analysis in their organization's decision-making process. In addition, Dr. Forland and Wheeler will share the importance of understanding organizational goals and establishing a performance management structure.
PRESENTERS
Dr. Cynthia Forland, a workforce development and labor market expert, brings vast expertise in policy and analysis from her consultancy and senior management roles as the Washington State Employment Security Department. She has a Ph.D. in political philosophy from the New School for Social Research.
Mr. Scott Wheeler, a workforce development expert, leverages a decade of leadership at the Washington State Employment Security Department and five years of consultancy. He has a Master’s of Public Administration from Evergreen State College.

This webinar series is designed for individuals who set strategic direction, make decisions that impact data initiatives and implement data-driven practices, particularly those who oversee Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Unemployment Insurance (UI) or other workforce development programs and services.
