Plenary Session: Honoring Women in Service
Description
Women have served in the military since the American Revolution, and the Military Women’s Memorial honors the more than three million women who have served this country. Located at the gateway to Arlington National Cemetery, the memorial was authorized by former President Reagan in 1986 and opened to the public in 1997. You will hear about the memorial’s virtual programming, support to women and veteran Employee Resource Groups, and where you can see the new “Color of Freedom” exhibit.
