To support the transition of more Veterans into Apprenticeship programs, the USDOL Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS), Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), Office of Apprenticeship (OA), and VA Veterans Readiness and Employment (VR&E), teamed up with the explicit goal of increasing the number of Veterans with service-connected disabilities participating in Registered Apprenticeship programs. Learn about the joint training this team developed, early results and lessons learned from a pilot project launched in six regions around the country, and how these federal agencies are working to increase the number of Veterans with service-connected disabilities entering registered apprenticeship. Participants will find out how to increase engagement with apprenticeship resources and learn how Veterans Affairs education benefits can be used to support registered apprentices.
