Many state JVSG staff stepped in to help with processing of Unemployment Insurance claims during the pandemic, and received firsthand knowledge of the fraud issues that hit that program in the past year. But are we doing all we can to protect our personal information? If you use the same password for every computer application, have passwords written on sticky notes stuck to your monitor, and click on links from people you do not know, then you are at risk. As the recent Pandemic has illustrated, fraudsters, thieves and even organized crime have taken advantage of the situation and stolen money, identities and trust.
