Promising Practice – Texas: Coordinated Mental Health Resources for Service Members, Veterans, and their Families
Come listen as three different Texas state agencies describe how they are coordinating on mental health services, Veteran services, and workforce employment services to Service Members, Veterans, and their Families, through state agencies, local providers, and front-line staff. In addition, to provide a multi-agency response to issues affecting Service Members, Veterans, and their Families, such as a rise in suicides, and other mental health issues. Learn how these agencies coordinate through monthly meetings to ensure that mental health information is consistent across state agencies; and they are coordinating to develop a training program for staff to identify the warning signs when service members, Veterans, or their family members are in potentially high-stress areas.
