Scott Sanders, NASWA Executive Director
Scott B. Sanders began serving in his role as Executive Director of the National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) in October 2014. He previously served as the Commissioner for the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. During his tenure at the Department, Scott was instrumental in implementing Jobs for Hoosiers (helping unemployed individuals return to work faster) and launching a modernized UI computer system that integrated benefits, tax and appeals. He was also active in the passage of Indiana's UI Trust Fund Solvency Reform legislation and in the implementation of the nation's largest Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) drop-out prevention program. Scott holds a bachelor’s degree from Miami University and a master’s in business administration from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
