The NASWA UI IT Support Center (UI ITSC) team is hosting a webinar titled Open UI Initiative: Collaborating to Develop a Thriving UI System to provide insight and progress updates on the Open UI Initiative. The webinar will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. ET.
OVERVIEW
NASWA, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Labor, is collaborating with state workforce agencies and other groups to strengthen the unemployment insurance (UI) system with a focus on how modern technology and digital practices can make state systems more accessible, resilient and secure.
The overarching goals of the Open UI Initiative are to:
- Create a shared framework for building modular UI systems
- Develop incentives to encourage innovation
- Provide states greater flexibility in technology investments to achieve UI program objectives
In this webinar, learn about the progress that has been made so far and how you can get involved. Responses from the Request for Information (RFI) will also be shared.
