NASWA IN ACTION

NASWA Senior Policy Director Lori Adams participated in ZeroMils’ first Military Change Forum October 23 at Georgetown University.

The invitation-only event brought Veteran thought leaders together to discuss the role of the private sector in calling the next generation to serve. Attendees took a hard look at military service, but also considered other ways today’s young people can serve their country and community. After hearing from a number of speakers and panelists, including the former US Army chief of staff General George Casey, Tanya Sanders, a military spouse and head of Wells Fargo Auto, and Dr. Mike Haynie, founder of the Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University, attendees met in breakout sessions to discuss action plans for a series of community events across the United States in 2025. Lori participated in the breakout session on “Paths to Alternate Service: A Blueprint for Military-Supporting Industries.”
