National Labor Exchange (NLx) Steering Committee Meeting May 2024
The National Labor Exchange (NLx) held its Spring 2024 Steering Committee meeting April 1 - 2 in New Orleans, LA. State Workforce Agency and Employer representatives on the committee gathered to discuss current and future initiatives. Highlights included presentations by the Wounded Warrior Project on veteran services and Luz Cuevas-Santos of Canon U.S.A. Inc, who shared insights into their diversity and inclusion initiatives. Additionally, the NLx Member Services team presented information about member engagement, evolving partnerships, and upcoming projects. The NLx Research Hub Manager provided updates on data accessibility and opportunities for the Hub’s growing community of practice.
The Director and Senior Advisor of the NLx moderated a panel discussion with some of its Steering Committee members at the DirectEmployers Association’s conference. The panel highlighted benefits to states and employers through their participation on the NLx Steering Committee.
