Open UI Initiative Update: Technical Advisory Group (TAG) Meeting

The Open UI Technical Advisory Group (TAG) and the NASWA Open UI Initiative Team held an in-person meeting in Washington, DC, July 23-24. The group heard from Ben Cerveny of Foundation of Public Code regarding models for technical openness used by other organizations. Additionally, a panel of experts successfully working with open-source systems spoke to the group about stewardship of digital public goods, myths about technical openness, and best practices. Panelists represented both private and public sector industries. Throughout the TAG meeting, the member's discussion provided input into a collaborative path forward for the Open UI Initiative.
