The Power of the National Labor Exchange (NLx) Network
How the NLx helps Agencies, Jobseekers and Employers
Did you know? Every day, the National Labor Exchange (NLx) shares job postings with every U.S. state and territory labor exchange system and provides those job openings through a syndicated network of partner organizations.
Once collected, the daily NLx job feed is distributed to a nationwide alliance convened to amplify employers’ job openings and drive jobseeker traffic to state labor exchange systems.
The NLx provides job content through this syndicated network to partners with established audiences. Some of these partners include
- Government sites like CareerOneStop and Apprenticeship.Gov
- Recruitment nonprofit sites such as Student Veterans of America and Career Index
- Hundreds of community colleges and universities
- Commercial applications like Alliance Enterprises and LinkedIn.
The NLx is the trusted source of jobs supporting the public workforce system, powering sites throughout this dynamic network focused on recruitment and job search. Many of these sites promote diversity in the workforce, including opportunities for veterans, individuals with disabilities, and other special populations.
How does this network help NASWA members and their customers?
Through the NLx job syndication network,
- State workforce agencies increase the volume of quality jobs in their systems, reach more jobseekers (which helps accelerate time to reemployment), help employer customers meet recruitment and compliance goals and help workforce system staff save time and money while maintaining ownership of agency and program mission
- Jobseekers have access to vetted, unduplicated employment opportunities in places where they regularly visit for job search
- Employers receive access to diverse talent pipelines and increased jobseeker traffic. This distribution network expands job visibility, giving more candidates the opportunity to apply, fostering greater inclusivity in the hiring process and broadening the reach of individual state job banks.
