NASWA State Rapid Response Brief

During the April 7-8, 2015, NASWA Administration and Finance Committee meeting, the Committee requested that NASWA gather information on State Rapid Response (SRR). Data on state use of SRR funds has been a regular element of the Obligations and Expenditure Surveys for several years. The survey collects a subset of the financial data reported to the Department of Labor on 9130 financial reports for Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and Wagner-Peyser Employment Service program funds. These funds are available to states for expenditure for three years. The survey mainly serves to collect cumulative obligations and expenditures for the three active fund years through the end of the program year requested.
