Overview
This position is located in the D. C. Department of Employment Services, Office of Compliance and Independent Monitoring (OCIM). The OCIM establishes and administers a comprehensive service administration and management program, to ensure the agency is in compliance under the guides of Workforce Investment, Transitional Employment, Wagner-Peyser, Unemployment Compensation Acts, and other legislation relative to employment and employability, development and compliance. The incumbent of this position functions as the designated point of contact for DOES. The position has the responsibility for providing internal and external audits, governance, program performance, compliance monitoring and remediation facilitation; governing regulations and the terms of any contracts and sub-agreements entered into by DOES.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages and oversees the operations of the department's compliance and program review system.
- Evaluates program administration and performance; makes recommendations for corrective action when non-compliance program deficiencies are identified.
- Provides data analysis to support decisions regarding major policy, planning and/or program administrative and operational modifications.
- Documents, monitors and evaluates activities; and maintains a record keeping systems as mandated by Federal and District regulations.
- Designs and implements compliance and program review systems that are in accordance with Federal and D.C. laws, regulations, and Federal program requirements.
- Plans, directs, reviews and coordinates compliance and review activities through designated senior staff and managers to ascertain adequate understanding of requirements and responsibilities in each area.
