Unemployment Compensation Business Analyst

Overview
This position is located in the Office of Unemployment Compensation (OUC). The incumbent will work under limited supervision and will research, plan, develop, implement and review policies, practices, reports, methods, and procedures that drive the accurate and efficient processing of unemployment insurance benefits data. The purpose of this position is to identify, review, define, and document workflow processes used to process unemployment insurance data. The incumbent will assist in the documentation of business requirements for UI projects. Make recommendations and develop plans for process and procedural innovations. Coordinate with Information Technology (IT) staff and subject matter experts to reduce gap management by documenting all known procedural and business processes and creating solutions to resolve programmatic issues.
Duties
- Identifies, reviews, defines, and documents workflow processes used to process unemployment insurance data.
- Assists in the documentation of business requirements for unemployment insurance (UI) projects.
- Makes recommendations and develop plans for process and procedural innovations.
- Coordinates with Information Technology (IT) staff and subject matter experts to reduce gap management by documenting all known procedural and business processes and creating solutions to resolve programmatic issues.
- Plans, manages, organizes, coordinates, and monitors activities and functions of projects and processes in cooperation with other departments and outside contacts under the direction of the Associate Director.
- Ensures that the agency is in compliance with U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) reporting requirements and monitors the agency’s efforts to meet the goals enacted by OUC’s leadership.
