Employment & Training Committee Hosts End-of-Year Virtual Meeting

The Employment & Training Committee convened a virtual end-of-year meeting on November 30 with more than 45 individuals attending representing over 25 states.

The meeting began with a federal partner update from Kim Vitelli centered around USDOL’s recent Wagner-Peyser Act Staffing Final Rule. This update was followed by a presentation from Sarah Mostafa (Program Director, The Families & Workers Fund) on the new Powering Climate and Infrastructure Careers Challenge funding opportunity. Attendees also participated in a state roundtable discussion where members had the opportunity to discuss USDOL’s Wagner-Peyser Act Staffing Final Rule, planned state workforce initiatives for 2024, and other state updates.
