NASWA Basic Investigations Virtual Instructor Led Training Goes Global!

During the week of August 21-25, NASWA Instructors, Skip Tompkins and Steve Sheehan, provided a four-day virtual session of the Basic Investigations course to 12 investigators from the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. The twelve learners from Saipan have been charged with investigating Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) fraud. Juggling their schedules to accommodate the 14-hour time difference, Steve and Skip taught the class Monday-Thursday from 6:00-9:00 pm ET which translated to a local time of 8:00-11:00 am Tuesday – Friday Chamorro Standard Time. Skip and Steve reported that this was a particularly enjoyable teaching experience as the class was enthusiastic, engaged, and entertaining.
