UI ITSC Delivers UI IT Modernization Training to Arizona

In February, UI ITSC staff delivered Business Analyst (BA) Boot Camp training to staff from the Arizona Department of Economic Security (AZDES). The training was delivered virtually to 28 AZDES staff, including business analysts and UI subject matter experts (SMEs). The training was delivered in conjunction with the onset of Arizona’s project to modernize its unemployment insurance system. AZDES staff participating in the training will be part of the modernization effort and can apply the BA Boot Camp skills to their project work.

The BA Boot Camp is an instructor-led curriculum designed to support states in planning UI IT Modernization projects. It gives UI SMEs hands-on experience with business analyst techniques and skills. This includes improving UI business processes, developing, and documenting business requirements, and working with development vendors.

This training can be delivered in-person or virtually. If your state is preparing for a modernization or large-scale IT project, BA Boot Camp can be a valuable tool in helping to prepare your business and technical staff. If your state is interested in UI IT Modernization training, contact learning@naswa.org.
