2023 Masterclass: Accelerating Workforce Digital Transformation

The Workforce ITSC Masterclass: Accelerating Workforce Digital Transformation was held in August-September 2023. This interactive 4-part series guided state teams forward on digital transformation projects, utilizing the Workforce ITSC Framework. Fourteen teams, representing 11 states, learned how to create a vision for digital transformation and produce a specific action plan for their digital transformation journey.  Learn about the Masterclass in our session recaps below.

The Masterclass kicked off with an insightful, expert panel on digital transformation, digital tools, agile methodologies, AI adoption, and big data. State teams participated in a breakout session to identify barriers to service efficiency and outcomes.

Global digital government expert, David Eaves led an interactive discussion focused on exploring digital transformation through data discovery, dynamic assessments, and customer-centric strategies for change.

Rick Maher, Workforce ITSC Masterclass Instructor, engaged state teams in the exploration of steps to achieve better organizational agility, emphasizing the pivotal role of leadership in fostering workforce engagement and developing a shared vision for digital transformation. 

 

 

Session 4: Value Delivery

Led by Rick Maher, state teams integrated insights from previous sessions and focused on advancing their action plans for state projects during an interactive team breakout session.

 

Participating state teams had the opportunity to showcase their experiences and digital transformation projects during the 2023 NASWA Summit Workshop, titled 'Magical Workforce Digital Transformation Adventures: State Innovations & Accelerating Progress,' held on September 14 in Los Angeles, CA. 2022 Masterclass Series: Transformation in the Digital Age

Part 1: Setting the Stage for Transformation - March 22 & 24, 2022

A total of 82 participants from 26 states/territories attended Workforce ITSC's first Masterclass Series learning event — Setting the Stage for Transformation. Over the two sessions, workforce veteran Rick Maher shared his model of organizational agility, linking it to Workforce ITSC’s Digital Transformation framework. This training helped states develop the mindset of becoming more agile in the digital age.

Part 2: Applying Digital Age Practices and Tools - May 3, 5, 12, & 13, 2022

Led by educator David Eaves, this 4-part masterclass guided workforce-education system leaders through the digital government toolset necessary for all public leaders today. The program helped individuals understand the changing roles and skills needed to increase their organization's capacity and meet customer needs in the digital age.

Once you have completed the QSAT, you will receive a summary report of the results.
