Workforce ITSC Steering Committee Meeting - October 2023
The Workforce IT Support Center (Workforce ITSC) Steering Committee officially kicked off the new Association Year with a highly productive meeting held on October 18-19th in Arlington, VA. The steering committee, composed of federal and state partners representing vocational rehabilitation, human services, education, and workforce development programs, plays a crucial role in overseeing Workforce ITSC.
The October meeting included engaging discussions on the latest updates from the various Workforce ITSC Services. Steve Wooderson, Chief Executive Officer of the Council of State Administrators of Vocational Rehabilitation (CSAVR), joined the meeting to share insights into CSAVR's current priorities. The committee members approved the Workforce ITSC annual work plan, heard updates from federal partners, and shared information on current state technology initiatives.
Workforce ITSC Services:
- Workforce Academy: No cost learning products and services, subject matter expertise, and partnership development to help expand capacity and adaptability in and around workforce, education, and human service systems.
- Online Tools: A suite of online resources available at no cost to government staff supporting WIOA programs.
- Advisory Services: Fee-for-service hands-on support to help states with delivering and scaling customer-centered, business driven workforce system strategies and solutions, as well as advise on related procurements, policies, processes, and practices.
